A controversy is going on in the Daily Chronicle respecting the charges of drunkenness against the Australians, made by Mr. David Christie Murray in his article in the Contemporary Review. Mr. Francis Adams, of Melbourne, in reply to Mr. Murray, asserts that the native-born colonists are markedly abstemious, but that AngloAustralians are terribly intemperate.
