The revenue next year is estimated at £8,819,000, and the expenditure at £8,982,000., The railway revenue for next year is estimated at £3,500,000, and the expenditure at £4,181,000. In view of the condition of trade, the Colonial Treasurer does not deem it advisable to propose - any new taxation, but will take power to issue Treasury bonds to the extent of three-quarters of a million. It is hoped, however, that this sum may not be all required, and that by a policy of economy the Government may' mak«> both ends meet. - .
