' Wellington", Friday. MR. G. HUTCHISON AND THE .PREMIER..-.-.. The rumour that Mr. Hutchison had written to the Premier withdrawing his support from the present Government is denied upon authority ' ADMIRALT Y COORT. ' , The Chief Justice this morning awarded £1000 to the owners of the s.s. Ahuriri and Fanny against the owners of the ship Rangatikei. The claim Was one of £6000 for salvage of 'the ship, which dragged her anchors in the Napier roadstead.
; FROZEN* MEAT EXPORT. The cargo steamer Duke of Westminster,; which sailed for London last evening, had on board from Wellington 5394 carcases of mutton, 451 of lambs,; 1039 quarters and pieces of beef, 47 pigs, 899 legs of mutton, 22 bales of b basils, 6 bales of; leather, 108 sacks; of seed, 1 box of butter and 1 of game, and 8003 packages of sundries. Her cargo from Picton comprised 4398 carcases of mutton, 1098 of lambs, 131 bales cf wool, 68 bales of flax, 1783 eases of preserved meats, 240 sacks of potatoes, and 7717 packages.
' ~ CREMATION. A Crematorium is; to be erected in the new Wellington cemetery at Karori. : The following agreement has been come to between the promoters of the movement and the city authorities..:—ln lieu of the 'rent of £10 per annum which was proposed to be charged for the site a fee of 7s 6d is to be charged for each body cremated; a clause is to be inserted in. the agreement providing that the Council may at any time take over the Crematorium on- pay-' menb: to the promoters of the net amount expended for all necessary requirements in' connection with the building and apparatus. ■": ;T; ; -' - ■^'v^;-J
