There was a fair attendance at. the Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon. The following games were played :—Messrs. Hardie, Hooper, Frater, Patterson (skip), 25 v. Green, Holland, Rose, Winks (skip) 21 ; Messrs. Worthington, Payne, Gorrie, Thompson (skip), 20, -v. Lawson, Moritzen, Miller, Stewart (skip), 30. Three-handed match : Messrs. Lyell, Lewis, Culpan (skip), 12, v. Sutherland, Garlick, A. L. Edwards. On Saturday everting last the usual weekly concert was held in the Temperance Hall, Albert- The programme was supplied by the " Sir Henry Havelock" Band of Hope, and proved a very enjoyable one. Mr. French presided, and in the absence of the Band of Hope pianist (Mr. A. Trenwifch), Muss M arson kindly accompanied the uintrer«. The following are the names of the friends who took part: Misses Moon, Clarke, London, McKenzie, Howell, YVrigley ; Messrs. Vinnicorabe and Seale. The uinußirig and instructive dialogue, "Peter Squill's Downfall," was pleasingly rendered by the Misses White (Ark of Eden), Cogeey, Blakeley (2), and Messrs. lioKts, McNab, and Clarke. J)k. uy.
