London, April 4. The total qua ntity of wool catalogued up to date i 5.29,200 bales, of which 27,800 have been sold. The market continues firm, and the opening prices are being maintained. Tallow (medium): Mutton, 26s 6d ; beef, 255. The English wheat market shows a general advance of Is ; the Continental market also shows a general advance, while the American has an upward tendency. Forward business in Australian cargoes is firm at an advance. Arrivals of foreign wheat are small, and shipments oft* coast have not met with ready sale. A New Zealand cargo of wheat, per iron vessel shipped in March and April, has been sold at 395. Silver is 3s 8 l-6d.
