THE CAULFIELD CUP .
. Melbourne, April 6. The committee of the Victoria Amateur Turf Club have raised the added money to the Caulfield Cup to 3000sovs. Our Dargaville correspondent telegraphs that the racehorse Holly, whilst doing a gallop yesterday morning, broke down in both fore legs. He has, therefore, been scratched for all engagements at the forthcoming Meeting. The committee of the Canterbury Jockey Club, last week, resolved to invite applications for the post of handicapper, the salary for which has been fixed at £150 per anaufiv
