MAORIS CHARGED WITH DOUBLE VOTING.

New Plymouth, Wednesday. Two Maoris, Waretu Tepone and Reorc Paunau, wero charged at the Police Court with a breach of the Corrupt Practices Act by voting on the sth December at two polling-booths in the electoral district of New Plymouth. After evidence had been given both defendants were committed for trial, bail being allowed in their own recognisance of £50 each.
