THE HOSPITAL INQUIRY.

to THE editor. Sir, —Deeply interested as we all musfcMbd in the proper management of the Hospital we shall feel that the committee who have taken in hand Miss Arnaboldi's complaints, have not treated us well if they declined bring forward their evidence before the Commissioners appointed by the Government* Even though we may not accept the decision of those Commissioners, we wish to know (1) the exact facts of the case; (2) what the other nurses have to say upon such and similar questions; and thirdly whether the casea alleged are exceptional ; that is, whether the cases alleged are exceptional; that is, whether they are, or are not, of that clasa-of patients that often occur even in private medical practice, where the medical man despairs of life, and does nob wish to trouble the last hours of the patient with his mani* pulations. To impugn the integrity of the Conv missioners does nob look well. If tho committee feel that their case is weak, let them manfully withdraw from it. If they think they are strong, then let us have their evi« dence, fortified as it will be by the weighty communications of Mr. Goulstone. To follow Mr. Rees' advice would be most unwise • as anyone may see by his allusion to Dr. Giles' motion at a public meeting, when-the appointment of Dr. Collins was under con* sideration. Mr. Rees seems to hint that Dr. Giles would be biassed by his action thenhow?—against Dr. Collins, and yet heskil« fully suggests the opposite.l am, &c., R. Maunssll*
