i CHRISTCHURCH HUNT CLUB'S j MEETING. [ISY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christciiurcii, Saturday. The Christchurch Hunt Club Steeplechase meeting took place to-day. The weather was 3 dull, and the course slightly heavy after the * showers of the previous night. There was a \ fair attendance. The following are the de--2 tails of the racing :— f Hunters' Hurdle Race of .SOsovs. One mile and a-liulf. 1 Mr. Wright's Trimolite, I'Jst (O'Rorkc) ... 1 i- Mr. Campbell's Preston, list (Murraya Aynslev) '2 H Mr. McLean's Iroquois, list 31b (Coleman) .'1 a Enterprise (lOst .Sib), and Victor (l'2st 71b) I also ran. Trimolite and Victor led alterr nately until the straight, when the latter was j beaten. Preston came with a urn, but could not catch Trimolite, who won comfortably by a couple of lengths. I Mr. Gould's Picton, I'Jst (Murray Aynsley) I > Mr. Wynii Williams' Encore, l'2st (owner) 2 Mr. Moore's Morok, list (owner) ... ... ■> . Enterprise (I'Jst) and Why Not (lOst) also ran. Trooper and Pieton fell at the stand double when going well, and Why Not mij shipped his rider at Ford's. Morok finished live lengths ahead of Encore, but both J missed lire lost .jump, and Picton. who ' had been remounted, won easily. Encore 1' and Morok went back and finished second 1 and third. Trimolite and Little Arthur made the running to the home J turn, where the former fell, leaving Little Arthur in front. Ixion and Erin-go-Brazil 1 came with a determined rush, but the latter , peeked at, the last jump, and Little 3 Arthur, stalling off Ivion, won by a long I half-length ; Erin-go-Br agh, who was eased 1 up, finished six lengths away.
