THE GOLDFIELDS.
MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Adeline Amalgamatkd. — In my last report I mentioned I had started an intermediate drive about half-way down the No. 1 winze. I carried the drive along for a distance of 10 feet, when the roef cut out altogether. I have left that and started higher up the winze. I had a breaking down to-day, and there was some very nice gold showing in the stone. The reef is very small here, being only about four inches wide. Liddell and party have made a start to get their quartz to the company's battery. They have about 10 ton on hand.
