NATIVE LAND COURT.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Cambridge, Wednesday. At the Native Land Court to-day, before Judge Mair, Mr. Davis interpreter, certificates of title were granted in the following cases:—Puahoe block, R. Barlow to T. Grice, two lots amounting to about 800 acres. Pukeruru block, Heteri Reone, to John Bonn, 150 acres, and Rihia to John Benn, 300 acres, in the same block. An apglication from Mr. Hay was before the ourt against certain natives, for judgments obtained in the Supreme Court for costs and fees due to him, amounting in all to nearly £4000, by certain owners in the Pakeruru. He wished the Court to stop the payment of the consideration money till his claim was settled. It appeared in evidence that Rihia was the only one who had received all his mone3 T , and he had nothing to attach. Mr. Edwin Hesketh appeared for somo of the defendants, Mr. Dufaur for others, and they applied to have Mr. Hay's case dismissed, as he was not present to support it; also for other reasons, including several points of law. Tho Court allowed the case to stand until four p.m., when Mr. Hay not being forthcoming, the claim was dismissed.
