SAD ACCIDENT AT DEVONPORT.

Yesterday morning the infant daughter of Mr. W. D. Buddie, of Cheltenham Beaoh. Devonport, was accidentally drowned under moat distressing circumstances. The child was playing in the back yard of the residence about half-past seven, and a few minutes afterwards, when Mrs. Buddie went out, she found tho little one with its face in a tub of water, and quite dead. Dr.. Parkinson was sent for, and means taken to resuscitate the child, but without effect. Colonel De Quincey, Coroner of the district, held an inquest, Sergeant Gillies representing the police. After hearing the evidence, a verdict of "Accidental death" was returned.
