At Flemington this morning 110 work of interest was done. Whakawai galloped a mile 011 the sand track in lm 545. Pearl Shell, who is improving every day, moves remarkably well in her work, and she has been receiving support at 12 to 1 for the Derby. Carbine is a linn favourite for tho Derby, and 6t04 is taken about him. Tho other quotations are:—loo to 30 Melos (offered), S to 1 Ensign, 10 to 1 Wycombe and Volley. For the Melbourne Cup, S to 1 is laid on the field. Mentor, Bravo, Chicago, and Whakawai are about equal favourites, and all arc well backed.
