ECCLESIASTICAL.
A Eequiem Mass will be sung at St. Patrick's Cathedral at 7.30 this morning, for the deceased friends of contributors to the St. Vincent de Paul Benevolent Society. On Sunday the anniversary service will be celebrated at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ponsonby, at 6.30 p.m., the Rev. Father GUlan preaching. " Spiritual Life: Its Nature and Development," a course of sermons by the itev. J. 8. Hill, is brought to a close to-morrow evening at St. Matthew's Church, by the delivery of the fourth of the series, on " Christ, the Object of Life." Theothur services are Holy Communion at 8 a.m., baptisms tit 3 p.m., and the usual morning service at 11 a.m. At St. Paul's to-morrow ovoning the incumbent will deliver the third of the course of sermons on " The Religion that is Natural," the subject of the morning discourse being " Profession Without Practice." Holy Communion will be administered at 8 a.m. A series of special evangelistic services will be commenced in the Pitt-sti eet Wesleyan Church tomorrow, and the meeting;, will be continued in the schoolroom at half-past seven each evening during the week. The Eev. C. H. Garland preaches in the morning, and the Rev. B. Best in the evening. The usual services will be h<? 1 to-morrow at the St. John's, Mount Albert, anc Graf ton Road Wesleyan Churches, tho Rev. G. Brown preaching at the latter in the morning. Thu usual services will be held to-morrow at St. Thomas', All Saints', and Epiphany Climchu.s, "The Last Public Appearance of David" and " Noc Offended in Christ" oeing the titles of the sermons at the last named. " Winds and Sea Obedient to Christ" and " Another Well" are the sermons to-morrow moving and evening at St. Peter's, Surrey Hills. Mr. G. Aldridge will lecture on "Tho Good Confession " at the Foresters' Hall to-morrow evening. There will be the usual services'at the Devonport Congregational Church to-morrow. The llev. George Brown will deliver an address at the Sunday evening ei angolistic service tomorrow evening, in tho City Hall. As Mr. Brown leaves on Monday by the Wainui, for Tonga, tliis will be the last opportunity of heariug him. " The Present Ago, and the Development of Antichrist," is the subject of the Rev. J. S. Ilill'i address to-morrow afternoon, at the Voung Men's Christian Association Hall. The usual services will be held at the Ponsonby Baptist Church, and at tho Newton Congregational Church to-morTow. Pastor T. Spurgeon will preach morning and evening to-morrow at the Auckland Tabernacle. " Hush" is the title of the Rev. J. Chew's sermon to-morrow morning at the Beresford-streut Congregational Church, and in the ovoning " Her Vademecum." " A Sight Worth Seeing" will be the subject of the the Rev. A. J. Smith's discourse at the Alexandrastreet Primitive Methodist Church to-morrow ; in the evening he will speak on " The Last Sight of a Great City." At the Franklin Road Church the Rev. C. E. Ward will preach on ""Holiness" in tlio morning, and in the evening on " Blunt Axes."
