GENERAL BOULANGER.
WOUNDED IN A DUEL.
RESIGNATION OF HIS SEAT. [press association.]
Paris, July 12. M. Floquet challenged General Boulanger to fight a duel in consequence of the Genera] having called him a liar in the Chamber of Deputies. The encounter took place, and was characterised by great fierceness. Boulanger was severely wounded in the throat and slightly on the thigh. Floquet sustained slight wounds on the hand, foot, and breast.
Paris, July 13. In the duel M. Floquet was quite composed, while General Boulanger appeared to be excited. The latter received a deep wound in the throat, and it is feared that tetanus may set in.
General Boulanger stands again for the Department of Le Nord.
Paris, July 12. General Boulanger has resigned his seat, owing to the defeat of his motion for dissolution.
