THE THAMES HARBOUR BOARD.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Monday. Colonel Fraser has received a further telegram from the Thames Harbour Board, stating that the reason why the Upper Thames settlers are objecting to the Board having control of the upper reaches of the river, is that they are carting away the alluvial deposits at the banks for their gardens, and that the banks aft falling in in places, sweeping masses of silt into the fairway navigation of the river. He has forwarded this telegram also "o the Premier. The correspondence intended for the Government has not yet come to hand, and no official action will be taken till all the information is before the Cabinet.
