A WAR AVERTED.
EXTRAORDINARY STATEMENT. [press association.] London, March 21. _ The Esercito Italiano, the official military organ, states that the prompt defensive measures taken by the Italian Government had been the means of averting a French attack which was contemplated on Spezzia and Genoa early in the month.
