ELECTRIC LIGHT.

TO THE EDITOR,

Sib, —Iβ the plan published in Wednesday's Hkbai d the lights are kind of lopsided. Now, if posts were put up in the middle of Queen-street, and in a line with the centre of intersecting streets, the effect would be greatly enhanced. The posts would not take up muoh room, and wonld assist in keeping vehicles to their respective sides of the street. One likely effect of the electric light will be a great diminution of the number of sparrows, &s millions ot birds are annually killed by flying against the windows of lighthoQses at night, being attracted by the light. —I am, Ac, W.G.
