A very snocessfol meeting of the Mahnrangi Band of Hope was held in the Wesleyan Chapel here on Monday evening, the Rev. George Stephenson, of Raglan, in the ohair. The meeting was opened with singing and prayer. The juvenile choir, under the leadership of Mr. Harrison, gave several choice and appropriate hymns and melodies from Hoyle's selections, Miss Florence Wilson presiding at the organ. Recitations, solos, addresses, and reading were severally given by the following members of the Band of Hopelsabella Wilson, Ann Harrison, Emily Grice, Mary Williams, John Williams, Albert Long, Walter Long, Misses Lease, Ragg, Yountj, Messrs. Grimmer, Moor, and Chaplin. There was a large attendance, many being unable to obtain seats, evidencing the great interest that is taken in this popular movement. The whole programme was very creditably rendered, and appreciated by the audience. The touching song, 11 Father, Come Home," was sweetly sung by Miss Lease with much effect.
