[by TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPON DENT.] DARGAVILLK, Friday The loyal chief, Parore Te Awha, was burled to-day. at Wharau. Numbers of natives from all parts attended the tangi, and the funeral cortege was headed by standardbearers, with flags presented to Parore by Governors Bowen and Jervois. The local volunteers met the coffin at tho English Church, and escorted the same, with the band playing the "Dead March," to the wharf, where three volleys were fired over the body. Two steamers were chartered to take the mourners up the river. Parore was credited with having saved Auckland from a Maori attack in years gone by. Pouaka Parore assumed tho mana.
