Further particulars respecting the recent shooting on. the Franco German frontier states that a soldier, who was assisting the keeper, declares that he challenged the sportsman thrice before firing. The Paris Press are excited over the affair, but the Berlin papers treat it with calmness.

M. Flourens, the French Minister oil Foreign Affairs, and Prince Bismarck are making enquiries on the subject. Great excitement prevails on the French frontier over the shooting of the gamekeeper and the wounding of s French officer. Surgeons declare tha, the wounds were caused by- military rifle bullets.
