ARRIVAL OF THE STALLION SWORD DANCE.
The New Zealand Stud Company's stallion Sword Dance purchased in England recently by Major Walmsley, was brought to Auckland by the s.s. Aorangi, which arrived jeaterday morning. After the steamer had been made fast alongside the wharf, no time was lost in landing the horse, and although he had been cooped up for nearly eight weeks, and had never once lain down during the voyage out, he looked extremely well, and he undertook his long walk to Otahuhu in the most lively manner. Sword Dance is in colour a beautiful bay, and if make and shape, combined with the fashionable blood coursing through his veins, are any criterion, he should before very long succeed in making a great name for himself in his new home.
