SERIOUS CHARGES AGAINST A TOWN CLERK.
«■ [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] iNvEKCARGir.L, Tuesday. J. K, Lea, late Town Clerk of Winton, has been committed for trial on a charge of forgery. He admitted the offence, and said he was fearfully sorry for it. Bail was applied for, but on Inspector Buckley stating that charges were pending involving close on £10,000, the magistrate declined to accept bail at the present stage.
