THE EGYPTIAN CONVENTION.
STATEMENT BY LORD SALISBURY. [RKUTER'S TELEGRAMS.] London, June 11. In the House of Lords today, Lerd Salisbury made a statement regarding the Anglo-Turkish Convention in reference to Egypt. He confirmed the details already made public. He further stated that the Convention' required the assent of the other Powers to the Turkish and British provision, otherwise it would be invalid, and England would remain in her former position. A Press Association message says '.— Lord Salisbury announced in the House of Lords that the Suez canal would be open to all parties at all times.
