[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DuNEDiN, Monday* At a general meeting of the Waimea Plains Railway Company to-day it was stated that the loss by the Bale of the line to the Government amounted to £8383. The Chairman said the greatest difficulty had been experienced in getting in the ratee, nearly all the ratepayers having to be summoned. It was resolved to leave the directors to sell the land made over to them by the New Zealand Agricultural Company, and to get in the rates as soon as possible.
