ONEHUNGA REGATTA.

A committee meeting of the above was held in the Railway Terminus Hotel last night, when there was a good attendance. Dr. W. R. Erson occupied the chair. The chairman reported that some complaints had been made with reference to several members of the Onehunga Rowing Club being on the committee, while the ManukauClub was not represented. After discussion, Mr. R. P. Hollis was elected a member. The secretary reported that Messrs. F. Hayman and Co. had made a presentation of an electro-plated cup, through Mr. G. J. Jackson. The Financial Committee reported the result of their endeavours to obtain Rubdcriptions, and several sums of money were paid over to the treasurer. A discussion arose with reference to the time for receiving entries for the principal events, when it wan resolved " that the tune be extender! to the 10th instant, and that entries for th« water tournament be received up to that date. With reference to the advertised particulars of the punt race, it was agreed that the race be for single sculls, and that the qualification for boats be, that they must have been on the Manukau for at least one month prior to the date of race. The secretary was instructed to get 50!) handbills printed, and have them well circulated in Auckland. Several minor matters were ducussed, when the committee adjourned till next Tuesday at eight o'clock, in the Prince Albert Hotel.
