November 2.—Sailed : Hawea, s.s:, for Wellington ; Waihora, s.s., for Dunedin. The New Zealand Co. are advised that the Rimutaka arrived at Plymouth, with her meat in good condition, on October 31. PORT CHALMERS. November 2. —Arrived : S.s. Masapourl, from Melbourne ; Lizzie, from Timaru. Sailed : S.s. Go-ahead, for the North ; Wareatea, for Westport. A CAPTAIN'S CERTIFICATE SUSPENDED. WELLINGTON, Tuesday.—A magisterial inquiry was held this afternoon into the circumstances of the Jane Douglas striking a rock at Kapiti on Sunday week. Captain Eraser's certificate was suspended for a week, and he was ordered to pay the costs of tide inquiry.
