DEPARTURES. Penguin, s.s., Allmann, for Southern ports. Passengers : Judge Harvey, Messrs. Westenra, Adams, Kingston, Williamson, and 9 in the steerage.—Union S.S. Co., agents. EXPORTS. Per s.s. Penguin, for the South : 192 bags potatoes, 4 sacks sand, 4 cases glass, 2 bales paper, 2 bales scrim, 14 castings, 3 trusses mouldings, 3 trunks boots, 14 cases stationery, 4 cases and 6 trusses saddlery, 176 pieces timber. 150 bags rice, 2 cases crockery, 3 cases tea, 19 cases and 10 trusses drapery, 1 bale cocoanut matting, and 60 sundry packages. The Union Co.'s s.s. Penguin, for Southern ports, took her departure at 1.30 yesterday evening, fairly patronised with cargo and passengers. The Northern Go.'s s.s. Staff a was placed on the slip yesterday in order to fix a new torpedo propeller which arrived per Penguin from Messrs. Cable and Co., of Wellington. She will be berthed alongside the wharf again this evening. It is expected with thejnew propeller she will average nine knots. PORT OF KAIPARA.
October 29.—Arrived: Wentworth, barque, from Nelson. She has been towed to Tauhoa, there to load. November I.Sailed : The barque Presto, for port of discharge. Arrivals : The barques Wenona and Frederick Bassil, both vessels will load at Kaukapakapa, Helensville.
