MELBOURNE WOOL SALES. Melbourne, October 29. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company held the usually weekly sales yesterday, which were fairly representative. The catalogue comprised 1600 bales, of which 1238 bales were sold, notwithstanding the market being considerably lower, owing to home and Continental buyers having their limits reduced. Th« attendance was large and competition brisk. Greasy merino shows a decline of to fd per lb, scoured wools Id to l|d. Since the commencement of th» season no large or important clips were offered. The highest price secured for greasy wool was 10|d, and for scoured 17£ d, although a large parcel of the latter was passed in at lSfd per AN ANGLICAN ARCHBISHOP FOR AUSTRALIA. Sydney, October 29.
