The debtor, in reply to Mr. Garliok, sa/id he had not yet had hi hooka balanced an d Mr. Garliok said he should like ♦,/> examine them more fully after they were balanced. It was resolved, on , the motion of Mr. Stone, seconded bj,/ Mx. Abbott, "That the Official Assignee V/alne the estate by snch measures as he may/ deem advisable, and apply to the Court fo ft Authority to sell the estate in on« parcel." Mr. Garliok was the only dissentient. It -was also resolved, on the motion of Mr, y.&nssell, seconded by Mr. Macky. "Tnj.t Viae Official Assignee take suoh step** of he ca ay think best, with Messrs. Carr and ohar-dViers, to protect the shares in the gold mine, and for that purP°'iO, if neoesaaiy, pending the result of '•',*<> resolution, sell the shares or raise ' nevney to pay the calls." It was resolved .'that the bankrupt be requested to balance 0.i% books and produce full aocounts.
