fRRUTRR'S TBLEOBAM.I MEETING OF THE CABINET. London, June 8. A Cabinet meeting was held to-day to consider the position of the Government after the adverse vote in the House of Commons on the Home Rule Bill. It is generally believed that it was resolved to ask Her Majesty to grant a dissolution. Ninety-four Liberal members voted against the Government on Monday night. ENTHUSIASM IN ULSTER. London, June 8. The result of the division on the Home Rule Bill has created great enthusiasm throughout Ulster. THE PROPOSED APPEAL TO THE COUNTRY. London, June 8. The opinion of the provincial Press is unfavourable to Mr. Gladstone attempting an appeal to the country. AMERICAN AND CONTINENTAL OPINION. London, June 9. The American Press regret that Mr. Gladstone's proposals were rejected. The Continental Press are not surprised at the result.
