THE BOOT STRIKE ENDED.
The joint committee of the Manufacturers' Association and of the Operative Bootmakers' Union met again last evening at Robson's Rooms to go through the latter portion of the tariff, the first two divisions having been settled at a previous meeting. As a result of their united labours, an amicable agreement was arrived at at a late hour, ami we are now authorised to state that thentrikeis practically at an end. The percentage of advance obtained by the operatives cau scarcely yet be determined, but, roughly spoakiag, the new arrangement may be regarded as a compromise between the last btateiuent of the manufacturers and the last statement of the operatives. The new joint statement is to ba signed by the men on Monday, on which day it ie autioipated the men will resume work in the various workshops and factories.
