[reutrr's tblbgrams.] THE GERMAN SQUADRON COMING TO AUCKLAND. Sydney, March 23. The German squadron, under the command of Admiral Kn.orr, has left for Auckland. A RAILWAY ACCIDENT. Sydney, March 23. A railway accident occurred yesterday on what is known as the Little Zigzag portion of the Great Western Railway over the Blue Mountains. Fortunately no lives were lost, the passengers escaping with some slight injuries and a severe shaking. A FAMILY POISONED. Melbourne, March 23. News from Border Town, a small township on the boundary of Victoria and South Australia, states that w household of nine persons have been accidentally poisoned by arsenic. A woman and two children are dead. Another child is in a precarious condition. The other five persons have recovered from the effects of the poison. MELBOURNE MARKETS. Melbourne, March 23, The local manager of the National Mortgage Agency Ootnpan) (Limited) of New Zealand reports on the grain market as follows: —Shipping wheat is quieter, but steady, at 4s 3d to 4s 4d ) malting barley shows no improvement, 3s 6d to 4a 3d; New Zealand oats, feed sorts, steady but not
