STRANGE ADVENTURE OF A BOY.
[by tblegsaph.—press association.] Invercaroill, Tuesday. A boy named Anderson alleges that he net with a strange adventure. Hβ is employed as a runner for the Southland Times, and lives in the suburbs. Yesterday morning he did not turn up at work, and i 1; wa« supposed he was skulking, but the lad oame home daring the afternoon minus hie uniform, cap, boots, jacket, etc., and evidently in a state of nervous excitement. His statement wan that shortly after leaving home he was, accosted by a tall man who had no coat on, that he aaked him his name and other questions, then seized and blindfolded him, threw him over his shoulders and carried him some distance into the bush, where he stripped him of his clothing, telling the boy they would do for his children, and threatening him meanwhile. He then made oft The police, incline to the opinion that (the boy's story w true, and that the assailantimuet be a lunatic.
