THE GOVERNOR AT HOKITIKA.
[by tblkgbaph.—press association.] Hok'tika, Tuesday. His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Major Jervois and Mr. J. D. Lance, M. H.R., arrived by coach from Chrietcburch this evening. Uβ was met twenty miles off by the Members for the district, and the Westland County Council, and at the town boundary by the Mayor, borough councillors, and a number of townspeople, fie wa3 accorded an enthueiastio welcome at the Town Hall, and the town waa brilliantly illuminated in his honour.
