GENERAL ASSERMBLY OF THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand meets in St. Andrew's Church on Tuesday next, February 9, at seven o'clock in the evening, when the retiring Moderator, the Rev. Mr. Treadwell, of Wanganui, will preach, and after the Assembly has been constituted, the new Moderator will give an address. At the close the members will join in celebrating tho communion. It is expected that upwards of thirty ministers and elders will be present from the provinces of Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Taranaki, Nelson, Canterbury, and Westland. A conversazione will be held in St. James , Hall on Thursday, the 11th February, when »(i dresses will be given by members of the Assembly.
