NEW ZEALAND EXHIBITION.

Wellington,' Tuesday. * The Government have decided to inorease the size of the Exhibition building, and the tender of the contractors who are putting up the present building has been aoc epted, : the amount being nearly £2000. Christohxtbch, Tuesday. The committee of the Art Society appointed to report on the Canterbury exhibits of pictures for the New Zealand Industrial Exhibition' met to-day, and considered the list of intending exhibitors. As. a-lafge majority of the artists were not member* of the Art Society, and their exhibits 1 were unknown to the committee, it was deoided that no recommendations could be made to the Government in the matter.
