May 28.—Arrived : Rangitikei, ship, Captain Cottier, 105 days from London. OS the Cape she had her deck swept during a heavy gale, and a number of moveable articles wens overboard. She narrowly escaped losing a boat. — The barque Highland Glen, Captain Cane, 125 days from Liverpool, has also arrived. Part of her cargo is for Port Chalmers; Amateur, ketoh, from Kaiapoi. Sailed : Rotorua, s.s., for the North. Passengers: Misses Godfrey, MoGee, Rodgers, Hodsou, Kinsey, Mesdames Kinsey, Barlow, Mr. Wilson ; Mawhera, e.s., for Nelson and the West Coast.
LYTTELTON. May 28.—Sailed: Ringarooma, i.s., for Danedin ; Go-Ahead, s.e., and Koranni, e.s., for Wellington ; Manapourl, s.a., for the North. Passengers for Auokland: Mrs. Bamberge, Messrs. Stanners, Bamberge, Chapman, Dodah, CarmichaeL PORT CHALMERS. May 28.—Arrived: Mahinapua, s.s., from the Weat Coast. Sailed : Walrarapa, 5.«., for Melbourne via the Bluff; Sovereign, for Auckland via Oamaru. THE TONGARIRO. POST Ohamtebs, Thuraday.—Tongariro, s.s., for London, via the North, with the following eargo :—329 bales wool, 5 bales sheepskins, 43 bales rabbit-skins, 4 balea basils, 26 bales leather, 6 casks tallow, 3 cases sundries, 4800 carcases mutton, and 52500z5. gold. The total value is £36,364; - WEATHER EXCHANGE.—THDBSDAT. New Zealand: Slight depression in the South ; still high pressure in the North ; wind moderate and changeable, but chiefly west; showers in the South and central. Australia : High pressure over interior and on south coast; depression approaching from tha west; winds moderate from the east; generally fine.
