NEWS NOTES FROM WELLINGTON.
[it telegraph.—own COEEESPONDENT.] ' ~ * Wellington, 'Wednesday.:- " PUBLIC ACCOUNTS. —' Tax Colonial Treasurer has informed me that the accounts for the year will be completed in a few days. There is, so far «b it appears,' an excess of revenue over expenditure, but less than the amount estimated. Railways and stamps show a deficency, but the accounts under the heads " Customs " and ** Miscellaneous" . show » - surplus. The surplus over expenditure is about £30,000; the deficiency upon-the total amount estimated is about £20,000. MEETING OF PARLIAMENT. Ths Ministers absent' on public business connected with their departments are exexpected to be in Wellington before the end of the month. A Cabinet Council will be then held, and the date for the assembling of Parliament will be fixed.
