At a meeting o£ tlie Louur.il of the Rifle Association, Lieutenant-ColonelLean (Christchurch), Captain Wildman (Thames), and Major Butts (Wellington); were elected Vice-Presidents," and the following gentlemen weie appointed on the Council to fill vacancies in the representation of several districts :—Mr. Thompson, M.Q.R., Auckland; Mr. W. F. Buckland, M.H.R., Waiuku; Mr. Lake, M.H.R., Waikato; Captain Russell, H.H.R., liast Coast; Lieutenant Rogers, Blenheim ; Mr. Lauce, M.H.R., Canterbury; Major Stewart, M. 8.R., Oarnaru; Mr. Gore, M.H.R., Dunedin; Mr. J. Hirst, M.H.R., Southland ; Colonel Eraser, M.U.K., Thames. The Hon. Major Baillie was re-elected Chairman of the association for the current year, and Mr. R. J. Collins was appointed Treasurer. The resolution oi the Executive Committee, "That the next competitive meeting be carried out under existiug rules, and that the rules be revised by delegates to attend during the next shooting," was confirmed by the Council.
