Two vessels came into harbour yesterday tr or nine from Southern ports with full cargoes of etc., the brigantine Louis Montgomery, from Oamaru, and barque Arcadia, from Lyttslton. The former left her port on the ISth inst., and the Arcadia on the samo date. The Arcadia, is originally from New York, but brings no cargo for here from that pott. Moderate but variable winds prevailed throughout tho passage. The B.t. Glenelg for Euesell and lona for Mercury Bay both left last evening with passengers and cargc. _ Captain A. Crawford goes in command of the brigantine Maria Virginia, lu the room of Captain Law, rtßigned. Prior to Bailing again, the brigantine is to be docked for the purpose of being re-coppared, &c. The suip Hermione was brought up harbour and berthed at the Qusen-street Wharf yesterday morning. She is to commence landing her inward cargo to-day. The Union Co.'a ster.msbip Kotomahana came into harbour yesterday morning from Southern porta and Melbourne, vritb passengers and cargo. After having been passed by Dr. Phitaon, the Health Officer, the steamship was berthed at the Queen-Btreet Whaif. Of the passage Captain Carey reports having cleared Port PhiliD Heads at midnijibt on the 14th instant; passe'd Swan Island at 6.25 p.m. on the 15tb, and reached Hobart at 2 p.m. on the 16th; left at S p.m. tho same day, passed the Solanders at 11 p.m. on the 19fcb, and reached the Bluff at daylight on the 20th; left at 5.30 p.m., and arrived in Port Chalmers at 7 a.m. on the 21st; started again at 4 p.m. on the 2?nd and called at Lyttelton on the 23rd, "Wellington on the 24th. Napier on the 25th, and Gisborne on the 20th, leafing tho latter port at 11a.m.; passed the East Cape at 5.30 p m • rounded Cape CoWille at 8 a.in.{on the 27th, and reached Auckland at 11.30 a.m. yesterday. Experienced strong south-west winds ■with heavy beam teas from Hobart to New Zealand ; strong north-west winds from Lyttelton to Napier; light westerly winds with fine weather to Cape Colville, thence thick weather with rain.
