There has been a considerable outside demand during the past month for store cattle, brought to the Auckland market principally from the Tauranga districts, and in addition to dairy cows which have been sent to supply the requirements caused by the starting of cheese factories in those districts. Nearly 600 head of store cattle have been purchased by Mr. Henry Vercoe. About half of these were despatched overland about ten days ago, and the balance will leave for their destination in a few days via Waikatc. CROWN LAND SALE. There was a fair attendance at the sale today, but only about half of the offered were disposed of.
