TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING.

The Summer Meeting of the Takapuna Juckey Club took place oil Tuesday, tlie 29th of January, and notwithstanding the numerous countcr attractions tho attendance was very large. Mr. W. H. Fanton ciated aa ana Mr. ti. AI. Jackson as starter. i'hree men were injured by one horse, Woodpecker, in the Steeplechase. He threw his rider, Kae, at the water jump, giving him a severe shaking, and getting amougst the crowd he kicked one man over the eye, inflicting an ugly cut, and threw down a youth, severely injuring his knee. The patients were attended by l)rs. Hooper and Parkinsoij. The result of the races are as follow : —
