Wei,li>'Gto>", Wednesday. The annual report on Friendly Societies waa issued to-day. DuriDg the year the total number of registration*; was 77, distributed as follows : — Manchester Unity Independent Order of Odd Fellows, 1 district and 14 lodges ; Independent Order of Odd Fellows (American), 4 lodges ; Ancient Order of Forestors, 16 court 3 ; United Ancient Order of Druids, 9 lodges; Independent Order of Rechabites, 1 district and 8 tents ; Sons and Daughters of Temperance, 1 division ; New Zealand Hibernian Catholic Benefit Society, 1 executive directory and 5 branches ; Protestant Alliance Friendly Society of Australasia, 1 grand lodge and 7 subordinate lodges;' 1.0. G.X., S lodges, 1 temple. At the" ead of the year ISS2 (the returns for ISS2 not having yet come in), the total number of members of all societies was 14,502 and the total funds £179,600; sick and funeral fund, £159,741 ; management fund, £14 569 ; otner funds and property, £5299. Reckoning each separate branch as a unit, and excluding grand and district lodges, the total number of bodies dealt with in the tables is 252, of which 179 were registered prior to Ist January, ISS2, and 103 were unregistered at that date. The following list gives the number registered according to their respective orders : - Manchester Independent Order of Oddftllows, 71 lodges; Independent Order of Oddfellows (American), 10 lodges ; National Independent Order of Oddfellows, 2 lodges; Ancient Order of Foresters, 55 courts ; Ancient Order of Shepherds, 2 sanctuaries ; United Ancient Order of Druids, 13 lodges; Loyal United Friends' Benefit Society, 11 lodges ; Independent Order of iiechabit.es, 9 tents : S'jns and Daughters of Temperance, G divisions; Hibernian Australian Catholic Benefit Society, 7 branches; Railway Employes' Benefit Society, 2 societies ; Isolate Local Society. 1 society.
