The road .the Hoard cut hinl three years ago is impraci icable, Mr. Hirst, who lives close b_> 7 > and should know, says there is no practicable, road to be got, only through his land, .""inch is in front of Mr. Rhodes' land, and wrote to the Board offering a road through vhe said land if Mr. Rhodes would do the sail/ e by him, and so take the road to the side, which would let Mr. Hirst out, wl'o lives on the other side of the river, on the confiscated block, on 300 acres, and not 90, as Mr. Rhodes stated, which, as I said, will give access to 50,000 or 60,000 acres. Ido not wish to take up your time or space to say how many settlers there are living on the block ; the Government plan will prove that.—l am, &c., S. Cossev, SEN".
