A NICE LITTLE ROMANCE.
The Dallas Herald says :—"A Mrs. Berry, living at Jonesboro, in Cornell County, has been discovered to be the daughter of an English nobleman named Lord Willedford, of great wealth and prominence. His daughter married a poor young American in England about ten years ago against her father's wishes, and for this they were disowned and driven from his house. They came to Texas, and have lived and prospered near Jonesboro ever since, and have accumulated a good deal of property. Recently, Lord Willedford heard, of his daughter's whereabouts and circumstances, and made overtures for reconciliation, asking her and her husband to come to England, and possess themselves of his great wealth, as he is now getting old. • The couple will soon return to the childhood home of Mrs. Berry." It is, of course, no detraction from the " romance" of this narrative that there is no such title in the British peerage as "Willedford."
