"Wo are indebted to Mr. B. T. Platt, purser, for the following report of the passage from Sydney -.—Discharged Sydney pilot on October 6th at 3.45 p.m. On Sunday, October 9th, at 9.15 a.m., met the Union S.S. Co.'s steamer Hero, bound to the westward. On October 10th, at 9.25 a.m., Three Kings abeam ; at 1 p.m. North C.ipe abeam; at 7.30 p.m. Cape ]>rett abaa'n. Arrived at Auckland on October 11th at 3.55 a.m. Experienced strong south to south-west winds throughout the passage. The City of New York left for Honolulu and San Francisco at 4.45 yesterday afternoon.
