THE BRIG WILD WAVE ENCOUNTERS REVERSES.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ROSSELL, Wednesday. . Captain Garrard, of the s.s. Tararua, reports that at 5 p.m. on the 19th, when off Spirit's Bay, North Capo, ran down to the brig Wild Wave, from Sydney, in answer to signals. Hailed her, and found her under jury rudder, and short of water. Sent a boat, and Captain Hurley came on board, and reported having loft Kaipara on Thursday, tho 14th, bound to Melbourne. The wind died away when on the bar, and the ship became unmanageable and drifted on to the North Spit, the sea making a clean breaoh over her, sweeping the deck of everything movable, water : tanks. etc., and staving in the boats. She drifted over the ipit, carrying away the rudder. After getting clear, rigged a jury rudder with the main-boom: and part of the deck cargo. The vessel is now manageable, requiring no assistance, but want-! ing water. She is making for the Bay ot Islands or Auckland. Supplied him with water, and at 6 p.m. proceeded to Russell.
