THE WAR ON JEWS IN BERLIN.

Berlin*, January 3.—On the morning of New Year's Day large crowds, mostly students, made a demonstration before a eaft) much frequented by Jews. They smashed the windows and mobbed all Jews they met. The police were comparatively helpless. Another caftS was invaded and emptied of Jews. A large and stormy meeting continues to be held, and the crusade seems to be gaining force. Fists are now being substituted for tongues. December 30.—A great anti-Jewish meeting was held here yesterday. Several members of Parliament were present, and the hall was so overcrowded that the police were obliged to close the doors, thousands of people remaining outside. January 11.—A Christian Liberal Club has been formed here, and is organising a workmen demonstration against the anti-Jewish agitation among the poorer classes.
