WESLEYAN METHODIST CONFERENCE.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Nelsox, Friday. TriE remaining business at the Conference yesterday was as follows :—lt was vosolveil that if, when travelling, a preacher was so unacceptable or inefficient as to be no longer useful, the Conference might ask him to request a location, and, on refusal, that the Conference, at the first meeting thereafter, should, without trial, locate him without Ins consent. It was agreed that a book of discipline be provided by the General Conference suitable for the people, aud other resolutions beaiing on the constitution of quarterly meetings. The desirability of the Methodist I'nion church rules, Sc, was discussed,- and votes of thanks carried to ministers of the Nelson circuit and the Reception Committee, for the great assi'-luity and kindness which they displayed in arrangements for the Conference and the comfort of representatives, to the ladies who waited at.the dinner fables, and friends who displayed such unbounded hospitality in entertaining the ministers. Thanks were also presented to Bro. Williams, Assist-ant-Secretary ; Rev. Mr. Carr, Journal Secretary ; the Kev. E. S. Bond, Corresponding Secretary ; to the Rev. Mr. Armitage Farclough and Mr. Bond for reporting, aud to the local Press. The journal was then read and signed by the president and secretary. It was decided to hold the next Conference in : ISS2 in Cliristehureh. Thus closed one of the most important and interesting Conferences held in New Zealand. Many of the representatives left by the steamer, which was detained till a late hoar last night.
